P class 4-6-0 locomotive No. 367 of Bengal and North Western Railway (BNWR). Built by Naysmyth Wilson in 1923, it was a typical BESA design with the later arrivals built with superheaters. One preserved example can be seen at National Rail Museum in Delhi.


A class locomotives were the first 4-6-0 used on the Bengal and North Western Railway (BNWR). Seen here is No. 189 of this series that was built by Neilson & Co. in 1902. Note the curved frame and inclined cylinders. locos were the first 4-6-0s on MG as well as first 4-6-0s on BNWR.


F class 0-6-0 locomotives were amongst the most commonly seen mixed traffic locomotives all over the metre gauge system toward the turn of the previous century. Number 66 of Bengal and North Western Railway (BNWR) was built by Dubs in 1884.
